Alittle Help.....

I need a favor from whoever reads my blog..... to get a business license I have to name my business. I do not want to take this lightly this is something that I hope last a while so I do not want to regret the name :) I would like for it to be biblically based since this is totally being lead by Gods hand. I am totally trusting him to lead me in every picture I take and every person I come in contact with because of my camera. He knows the desire of my heart is to become a stay at home mom and that is only possible if he allows my business to take off :) I have a few ideas my favorite so far is.......... Reflections Photography based out of 2 Corinthians 3:18 And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

I want to hear your ideas if you do not mind sharing them with me..... I might could work out a deal with someone if I choose your idea :) Let me know some suggestions.....
THANKS!

A beautiful blessing

I was so blessed to be able to take pictures of Scott and Misty's new little girl. She has been prayed for by many people for along time. How wonderful it is to see this family complete with the beautiful little baby girl that God picked out just for them! For those who do not know Scott and Misty adopted, it was a long journey but well worth it all! The verse that Misty has painted over her bed is
"For this child I prayed, and the LORD has given me my petition which I asked of Him.
1 Samuel 1:27

How wonderful to see a couple rely on God and wait on God and trust that He had a plan!

Beautiful girls

Andy asked me the 1st for February if I could take pictures of his two girls and surprise his wife for her birthday with the pictures. I said of course, when is her birthday and he said Feb. 14th! So we got together rather quickly and had a fun day at Orr Park. It was actually beautiful that day it didn't even feel like it was february. The pictures turned out great....but it made me feel like I was actually an adult! I used to babysit these two girls and the youngest when we first moved here was a baby! Now they are beautiful Godly teenagers and I am so proud of who they have become and look forward to seeing what God has in store for them both. What a priviledge to capture this wonderful time in their lives.

Birthday Party

I was supposed to take pictures of James and Tricia's twin boys for their Christmas card but one of the boys got sick the day before so we had to cancel and I was so disappointed! I thought it would be so fun to just totally jump right in and get my feet wet and attempt at getting twin 3 year olds to sit still and try to get a good shot. Well a few weeks after Christmas Tricia e-mailed me and asked if I would be willing to come to the boys 4 year old birthday party and take pictures. Tricia did not want to have to worry with taking pictures and I needed the practice so it was perfect. The morning of the birthday party it was snowing so I called Tricia to make sure the party was still on and she said YES! The boys were so excited that it snowed on there birthday. So we started off at the firestation and ended up at their house for cake and ice cream. I had so much fun and also realized birthday parties are much harder than taking pictures of a newborn who just lays there and sleeps :) I wanted to capture everything and feel like I missed so much but I couldn't be in two places at one time and well... there are two of them :) It was a fun day and I appreciate Tricia so much for allowing me to be a part of the Firetruck Birthday Party!
If you look close you can see the snow!

My first session...

I was so excited when my friend Amy asked me to take some pictures of her new little blessing from heaven! For those who read my blog and do not know Glen and Amy had been praying for a baby for along time, they wanted to wait on God's timing and they trusted that His timing would be perfect so when she found out she was pregnant we were ALL thrilled. She was born on November 1st and I took pictures of her when she was 3 or 4 weeks old.... I had so much fun and she did so good, she let Amy and I move her around and put props up on her and even stick her under the Christmas tree. This was just the beginning of what God was going to continue to do in Glen and Amy's life! Hopefully this was just the beginning for me as well, I pray that there are many more Newborn sessions in the future!
This was my favorite picture of all the pictures I took that night.... Isn't she BEAUTIFUL!

I know it is March and I am posting pictures I took in November but a photographer friend told me I needed to have a blog so that when I am ready to go with a printing company they can see my work.... hopefully that will be soon :) I will try to catch up to the present as soon as possible!

Photography

I am so excited about my new journey that God is leading me in! I had never been interested in photography until I had my little girl Aubrey. After she arrived I wanted to take 100 pictures a day! I loved trying new things and taking her new places just so I could snap some more pictures. Last October I asked mom to join me in taking a photographing children's class at Jeff State we had soooo much fun! Everyone around us had these professional cameras and there we sat with our little "point and shoot" cameras and we felt SOOO out of the loop. Every week I fell more and more in love with photography and even though all I had was a little point and shoot I actually got good feed back from the teacher which just encouraged me to keep it up! The day after Thanksgiving I was in Wolf with mom and she was just not sure which camera she wanted to buy she had been doing all kinds of research and comparing and she was on the fence. We made a deal that whoever bought the first camera the other one would have to buy the same kind that way we can share lenses and other accessories that are needed . So while mom went back and forth I called andy and asked if I could take the plunge and buy the camera and he said YES! So now begins my journey of trying to accomplish my goal of becoming a photographer. I will be sharing photos of people that are helping me build my portfolio and hopefully one day this will be a dream that has come true and a prayer that has been answered and I am so glad I have everyone to share it with!
